Donating Hair

Ponytails Needed for a
Single Hairpiece

Please follow these easy steps to donate hair at the event. If you are unable to attend you can still participate by having your own stylist cut your donation.

  • At least 12 inches. 
  • Clean and Dry
  • Untreated (Hair cannot be permed, color-treated, or highlighted.)
    • Wash out color and highlight is OK if completely washed out
  • No dreadlocks

Previously cut ponytails that are less than a year old and are still tightly bound may be donated.

Fill out Wig for Kids Donation Form to receive your individual donor number.

Print and bring your donor barcode to the event. Including the barcode increases the efficiency of your donation and gets it processed sooner.

*Paper forms are available if you are unable to fill out the online form.

Print and Sign our Photo Release and Waiver Form.

We need this form to you to participate in the event as it protects the organizers and allows us to use and share photos and videos of the event. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign as well. Please make sure you have a signed form at the event.

Please fill out this form so we can accurately plan for the number of participants:

Check in at the participants table outside the Sonora High Library after 7:15 am Wednesday April 17th 2019 to be assigned to a Sonora High Cosmetology for your complementary cut. 

If you are unable to attend the event you can still donate by having your stylist cut following these instructions and delivering your cut ponytail to the Sonora High office to be included in our donation.
